This was the second of three novels released using the pseudonym "K.R, Dwyer". It is not very difficult to find, and the price is usually within the casual collector's budget. It was never released in paperback in the United States under the Dwyer name. A revised version of the novel was published under Koontz's name by Berkley in 1985. This book was adapted into the French film "The Intruder" which starred Jean-Louis Trintignant and Mirielle Darc.
