The scan on this unusual book is trimmed on the top and bottom due to
this over-sized graphic novel being larger than my scanner. The first printing
was 130,000 copies so first editions are relatively easy to locate, yet for
reasons I don't understand, they seem to carry an unusually high price, even
higher than "Oddkins". The cost is to the higher end of the casual collector's
price range. This book was based on the poem "Santa's Evil Twin", which was a
tale told by the character Marty Stillwater to his daughters in Koontz's
earlier novel "Mr. Murder".
You have a hardback first edition if there is a $20.00 price on the upper inside
front dustjacket, an "1196" date code on the lower inside front dustjacket,
if it states "First Printing: November 1996" and contains the number series
"10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1" on the copyright page.
