This is the ONLY novel released using the pseudonym "David Axton". There is another David Axton who released "Stolen Thunder" around 1994, but he is NOT Dean Koontz. This book was originally titled "The Edgeway Crisis" and the pseudonym was to have been "David Haggard". The hardback edition is difficult to find and will cost more than a casual collector might wish to pay, but the paperback is fairly easy to locate at a reasonable price. This book was revised, expanded and released under his own name as "Icebound" by Ballantine Books in 1995 with a 2,000,000 copy first printing.

You have a hardback first edition if there is an $8.95 price on the lower inside front dustjacket and if it clearly states "First Edition" on the copyright page.
