This is one of the two non-fiction titles allegedly written with his wife,
Gerda. Koontz disputes authorship, claiming the publisher took liberties with
the manuscript. One has only to read the first few pages to realize that a good
portion of this book is, in fact, not written by Koontz. It is reported that
Dean refuses to autograph this book for that reason. "The Pig Society" lacks
the style and wit and attention to grammar that his readers have come to
expect. If you have any familiarity with his work, you'll be able to tell the
portions that were added. "The Pig Society" is one of the most difficult titles
to locate. If you are fortunate enough to stumble over a copy of this book, be
prepared to spend several hundred dollars to obtain it. If you don't want to
part with that much money, don't worry...you won't be missing much. This title
only appeared in trade paperback.
You have a first edition if you own a copy of this book, as there was only one
printing.
