This was Koontz's last novel in hardcover for Putnam. The poem that Marty
Stillwater reads to his children was later expanded and became the book
"Santa's Twin".The limited edition of this book ranks as one of the more
impressive. It was released with a beautiful Don Brautigam dustjacket and
slipcase, with inner illustrations by Phil Parks. Despite its scarcity, it has
not grown in value, a problem that seems to plague all of Dean's Putnam limited
editions. I'm aware of no good reason for this. The trade first edition is
plentiful and should be easy to locate and fairly inexpensive. This novel was
produced as a TV movie starring Stephen Baldwin, James Coburn and Julie
Warner in 1998.

on the upper inside front of the dustjacket,
a "9310" date code on the lower inside rear of the dustjacket,
and if the number series

Because Putnam elected to include the ISBN for the trade and the limited
on the copyright page there has always been confusion about whether you own
the limited edition. Be careful when making a purchase. I hope this page
