The limited edition of this book ranks as one of the less impressive. I included the spine in the scan so that you can draw your own conclusion. It was released without a dustjacket, and also without a slipcase. The only reason it has any sustained value as a collectible is because it is signed. To date I have been unable to determine how many of the limited edition were produced. The 525,000 copy trade first edition is plentiful, and should be inexpensive. There were many copies shipped to book stores signed by Koontz, so don't get burned when purchasing a signed copy. This novel was produced as a mini-series on the Fox network, starring Molly Parker and John C. McGinley, and was broadcast in August of 1997.

You have the first trade edition if there is a $25.00 price on the upper inside front of the dustjacket, a "1/96" date code on the lower inside rear of the dustjacket, and if it states "First Trade Edition" on the copyright page.
