The 26-copy lettered edition finally arrived in November 2001. It is hand bound in full Morocco leather with coins imbedded in the front board, housed in a hand made traycase bound in Japanese silk. Both book and traycase are stamped in 22kt. gold and with illustrations by Phil Parks.

The 500-copy numbered edition is bound in Japanese silk and housed in a slipcase and also contains illustrations by Phil Parks.

The advance reader's edition is a curiosity. I have never seen a publisher send out an ARC that is in actuality a different book than the trade hardcover, let alone having the author sign them. It is leatherette with endpapers that mimic the cover of the trade dustjacket. Arguments rage over how many copies were printed; I have seen 500 and 1000 mentioned. It's well worth having, but you'll pay a bit for it.
