The limited edition of this book is less appealing than the trade first edition. I included the spine in the scan so that you may draw your own conclusion. It was released without a dustjacket in an unmarked black cloth slipcase. The paper slip (as seen in the scan) is cheap. According to "A Writer's Biography" by Katherine Ramsland there are illustrations by Phil Parks, but my copies have no such artwork. The trade first edition is plentiful and should be fairly inexpensive. The trade first has a $19.95 price on the dustjacket and the numbers 1 through 10 on the copyright page. Because Putnam elected to include the ISBN for the trade and the limited on the copyright page there has always been confusion about whether you own the limited edition. Be careful when making a purchase. I hope this page will be useful in getting the one you want.
